My dirty Laundry

I am going to spill all my dirty laundry. . . I mean I can't keep up with all my dirty laundry. We are a family of 5 with way too much dirty clothes. I am having a really hard time mastering the washing and putting away. The other day I had to look in 3 baskets to find a complete outfit. It is a chore that I absolutely dread, maybe because it is so thoughtless and non stimulating. I know someone has a great suggestion. Any ideas on how I can keep up on laundry and enjoy doing it?

yeah you got me...I HATE it too. Easier said than done but I went through a period (not now. Ha) when I was forcing myself to fold the laundry right out of the dryer and put them away. I remember not hating it SO much because I was only folding 1 load instead of my usual habit of washing like 5 loads and then leaving them in a HUGE pile with hopes that someday I would be modivated to tackle the HuGe pile.

NO idea! Let me know when you find out, though.

K, so I had no idea, but now I have one after reading your sis's comment. I remembered from her comment that I'm much happier with laundry if I, like her, fold the clothes right from the dryer (not necessarily right in front of it but on near by couch). I don't necessarily put them away right after, but at least they're folded. If I just dump them to fold later, then I procrastinate folding them sometimes for weeks. And then they're all wrinkled! Ahhh! You can't win for losing, huh?

Anyway, I'm in Ohio visiting my best friend, Shelby, and she says to do as she does....have your husband do the laundry! = )

Love ya, cuz!

I agree with the have your husband do it idea :) No seriously.... I did the whole family's laundry for a the first year and a half of our marriage and it was just too much. And when I did it I could never get Kyle to put his away and when I tried to put it away he would complain that he couldn't find it.(we have some serious organization issues). SO one day I decided that I was tired of it and he could do his own. So he does. He has his own laundry basket and I have mine. If he wants clean clothes that are folded and put away he does it himself. That sounds a little insensitive, but its just what works best for us. And we split Adney's clothes- whoever is doing laundry throws his clothes him with their stuff.
